My photography of homelessness

My Photography of Homelessness

My Photographs Of Homelessness

I was astonished in the plenitude of homelessness in London particularly when I went to Stratford. It was also heartbreaking to see people in these situations too.
Whilst taking my images I was able to speak to some of these individual's as I wanted to ask for their permission to take their photos but most were reluctant.
I remember talking to one man who was homeless, I recall him telling me that a particular newspaper, I can't remember, was helping him, which is really good.

Risk Assessment for Locations

Risk Assessment For Locations

Stratford

Risk
Who and why am I at risk?
Level of risk
How am I going to prevent the risk?
Robbery
I am at a higher risk of being robbed as I will go to a few not so pleasant areas to take pictures of homelessness. Also carrying a Nikon DSLR camera will only increase the chances of being robbed in those areas.
H
To prevent the risk of being robbed I will bring a friend with me. I will also, not bring anything valuable with me and anything that is valuable I will not put it on display, such as the Nikon Camera. As any valuable displayed will only attract it to being stolen wherever I am.
Assault
As me and my friend are going to a few unpleasant areas we are more likely to be attacked. Particularly from people who are homeless as they will dislike their images being taken.
L
When going to these areas I will only go during the day to reduce the likelihood of being assaulted. I will also take the images of homeless people secretly.
Tripping
Whilst looking for pictures to take I risk my chances of tripping over and hurting myself.
L
I will try to prevent myself from tripping by focusing on my walking.
Run over
I could be hit by a car as I may have to stand in the road in order to take a good picture.
H
I will only go on the road when there is barely any cars and I will tell my friend to look out for me to reduce chances being run over.

Canary Wharf
What is the risk?
Who is at risk and why?
Level of risk
How to prevent the risk?
Tripping/ Slipping
I and Renai are at risk of slipping because we will take our images straight after school and therefore we will be wearing our school shoes which lack grip. Furthermore it could rain therefore making it more likely that we will slip.
H
We will wear shoes which have grip on it such as trainers.
Assault
Renai and I may be physically assaulted because we will be taking pictures of people without asking permission because will not allow us to take their picture if we do ask.
L
We will their image discreetly and we will do it together to reduce the this risk
